The Asylum's 2019 mockbuster, Monster Island, was released at the exact same time as Godzilla King of the Monsters.

As this is an asylum movie, it has the approximate budget of a big kid's meal and uses it sparingly - focusing on a few human characters, and keeping it's big names in one set where all their scenes can be filmed over lunch break. We must not forget that this movie is a kaiju film and, well... that's kind of Monster Island from Decker Shado how they work. So maybe The Asylum won’t be so terrible with it?
